I didn't always want to be a pediatrician. I actually wanted to pursue OB/Gynecology! I attended the University of Texas School of Medicine in San Antonio. After a short time, I revised my plans and thought Family Medicine with OB care would be my heart's desire. But after having two children in medical school, and participating in the care of tiny newborns, I knew my heart was destined to pursue Pediatrics! During my time in medical school I was awarded a prestigious scholarship with the National Health Service Corps for my commitment to primary care. After graduation I moved on to a pediatric residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. My husband sacrificed his career as a firefighter to help me take on the challenges that pediatric residency would bring for our young family. After completing residency, we were drawn to sunny Florida,  where I was able to  fulfill the terms of my scholarship at a local non-profit Community Health Center.

My personal dream was always to have a small community practice where I could develop personal relationships with the families I serve over a lifetime. With that ambition in mind, my family and I have worked diligently and sacrificed so much to start, build and maintain this beautiful practice. We appreciate the support of our local communities in the Tampa Bay Area over the last twelve years. It is an honor to serve you.

When I'm not in the office, I'm enjoying my lovely family! My daughters are 8 and 19. My sons are 5 and 23, and my sweet daughter- in-law is due with our first grandbaby this year! Our extended family also includes our son's BFF Isaiah. We're excited to celebrate his graduation this May from the US Naval Training Center in Great Lakes!!

 So when I care for your little ones, you're also getting the priceless experience of a well-seasoned mom.

I am excited to announce that I completed a nationally recognized fellowship program in June 2025 in the field of Integrative Medicine and Ayurveda for Medical Professionals. I am committed to lifelong learning, and diving deeper into alternative and complementary modalities that may serve you much better than traditional "western medicine."

Daniel is originally from Houston, TX. He graduated from The University of South Florida with a degree in Civil Engineering in 2019. He proudly shares in the success of Dunedin Pediatrics & Family as Dr. Vivian's husband and biggest supporter! He joined the practice as manager in 2022, but now practices in a supportive role. Daniel proudly works in Largo as a civil engineer. When he's not juggling his career while supporting Dr. Herrero, he enjoys time with his family as a father of 4, and is an avid Astros fan.

Hi, my name is Elijah and I am both the Office Manager and Dr. Vivian's oldest child. On both the phones and front desk, I am here to help with any questions or scheduling you may need. In my personal life, I am happily married to my wonderful wife Kimberly. I've been so blessed to have not only 6 years together, but to start a family with her. We are expecting our first child this July, and I couldn't be more excited! I'm also currently working on getting certified at Pinellas Technical College in Computer Science & Information Technology. My passion for helping others and interest in technology enable me to provide excellent customer service for you and your family at our practice.
